SCOGA Sends Team For Record-Breaking Reading Marathon

SCOGA will be sending a team to take part in a 144 hour reading marathon event as part of the National Library Board's READ! Singapore 2009 nationwide initiative on the 3rd of July at The Plaza, National Library Building. Upon completion of this reading marathon a new record will be set with the Singapore Book of Records and participants will find their names entered into the book of records.

The SCOGA team will consist of avid gamers seeking to learn more about the Warhammer fantasy universe kindled by the real-time strategy game, Dawn of War. The chosen novel is Dawn of War II, a fan-fiction novel that will immerse and astound readers with its immense and diverse futuristic universe, proving that games can promote a healthy habit of avid reading.

Read! Singapore is in it's 5th year and are promoting a culture of reading fiction this time themed "Dreams and Choices", encouraging Singaporeans to "stay focused on their goals during these challenging times."

Colosseum LAN Entertainment Centre will be having a opening launch promotion for Gamers!

From 20th June to 28th June, all Colosseum members enjoy $1 per hour LAN Gaming up to a maximum of 4 hours. The place is at 7th floor of Iluma - the new shopping centre opposite Bugis Junction.

This promotion is for Members only, and you can sign up for membership right on the spot!

There will also a launch party on 20th June, 10.30 am onwards - there will be some free or cheap Gaming for public walk-ins… Remember to check it out!
